Jun 27, 3:30pm: Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to write a note and tell you all Thank you!
Today is my "bandiversary", one year with my lapband.
It has definitely been a learning experience not just in healing, but
especially in eating behaviors, exercise, self acceptance, patience and love.

I have lost 61 lbs of fat, gained 21lb.s of muscle and have 39 lb.s more to lose
to meet my healthy goal weight. The loss is slowing now as expected, this is where
the patience comes in for me (not my strong suit!). I keep plugging away and going to the
gym & for my walks and I am for the first time in my adult life enjoying exercise.

I mostly just want to thank you all, my family & friends for being so positive and
so supportive to me on my weight loss journey.

Thank you Mom for coming to Michigan to help me & be with me during and after my
surgery. Thank you & John for not saying "I told you so!" last Christmas dinner-Ha!
I so appreciate you taking care of me and my family-You're the best!

My very supportive Husband Skip. I know you were very ambivalent about me having this
lapband, especially so soon after my appendicitis, but Thank you for always being supportive
and positive to me and thank you for holding my head the day after I got home while I cried & cried and wondered "What the hell did I do to myself?"
You're the best & I love you.

Thank you Johnny, for always telling me how much you love me and being such a great cheering section for Mom.
I love you & you're the BEST son a Mom could ask for.

Thanks everyone for all the kindness and understanding, the gifts, the walks in kensington (Lauren) and notes of encouragement along the way.
I could not have done it without you. I love you all.

I've still got a ways to go but I'll make it. I feel so much better than I did a year ago.

I feel so happy & blessed to have you as my friends and family and I appreciate each and everyone of you and your support and encouragement so much.
